Michele Foley is a brave, fierce woman who has been fighting ALS since her diagnosis in 2023. She has an adorable family that is absolutely in love with her and wants to focus on what matters most: more time together, love and care. In this picture it shows her with her grand children who traveled with her to her homeland (Wales) two summers ago. They had the best time and will cherish this time forever. You can see who is taking the picture.
Her daughter, Ali, is in charge of full-time care for Michele. Ali has had to move on from her full time job to work through this new role. They both love to travel and have been squeezing every opportunity to see their favorites: Seattle, Denali and Hawaii.
We would love to gather around both of these ladies and help them out during this difficult time.
In order to educate all of her friends that may not know about ALS – here is a short synopsis: ALS (Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) is a nervous system disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. ALS causes muscle death, leading to total muscle paralysis. The exact cause of the disease is unknown. There is no cure for ALS – it is 100% fatal. We would like to give Michele (and Ali) as much comfort as possible. A donation to their fundraiser will allow them to cherish this time with each other and their family. Funds will go toward trips to Seattle for ALS clinics, home modifications, mobility aids, personal care and medical treatments. Ultimately, we want to give our dear friend the resources needed to continue living an honorable life.
