Let’s get Christina and Romeo back on her wheels

Christina Sargent is a vibrant and caring member of our Olympic Hills community in North Seattle. She’s known for her positivity, her thoughtful insights in groups online and in person, and her dedication to making our neighborhood more inclusive and prepared for emergencies. Christina is always quick to lend a hand, whether it’s dropping off coffee for a neighbor in need, watching out for the kids in her complex, or advocating for vulnerable residents during disaster planning. Her many acts of kindness and her willingness to share her perspective have helped bring our community closer together.

Many neighbors know Christina as the friendly face walking her tiny dog, Romeo, through the neighborhood. She often hears people call out to her about how much they love seeing the two of them out and about, bringing smiles to everyone they meet.

Recently, Christina’s power wheelchair broke down, leaving her homebound. She’s unable to take Romeo for walks, or spend time with her guinea pigs, shop for groceries, attend appointments, or participate in the community events that mean so much to her. This loss of independence has been deeply demoralizing and has affected both her physical health and her spirit. Christina needs a new power wheelchair—a Permobil M3 Corpus with tilt and lift controls—to regain her mobility and return to the life she loves.

With your support, we can help Christina get back to the activities that bring her joy, like attending local festivals, swimming, and whale watching. Please share to cast a wide net! Every contribution brings her closer to regaining her freedom and continuing to enrich our community with her presence and kindness.

Tranding Fundraisers

I’ve created this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friends, Sarah and James, who are enduring every parent’s worst nightmare — the loss of their beloved son, Leo.

We’re heartbroken to share that our dear friend Alex passed away far too soon. His light, his laughter, his incredible spirit — they touched so many, and his absence is deeply felt.

Hi everyone — Angela here, writing on behalf of Matthew (for now). On December 6th, completely out of the blue, Matthew suffered a severe stroke.
