We never imagined we’d be in a position like this—sharing something so deeply personal and asking for help. But right now, we are reaching out hoping for the compassion and support from our community.
Nikiah has been fighting stage 4 esophageal cancer for a little over a year now. She’s endured countless hospital stays, different chemotherapies, radiation, and the pain that comes with both the illness and the side effects of treatment. Through it all, she’s shown so much strength. But even the strongest people need support.
This past year has taken a heavy toll on every part of our lives. Mom can no longer work. Our dad has had to miss countless days of work to be by her side, often sacrificing his income just to make sure she’s never alone during appointments and hospital stays. My younger brother, who still lives at home, works full time, and takes her to chemo—all while trying to help my parents keep up with the growing pile of bills. As a family, we’ve done everything we can to stay on top of the bills, but cancer doesn’t just drain you emotionally—it drains you financially. Medical bills, many hospital stays, and time missed from work… It all adds up..
My parents are not the kind of people who ask for help easily. But right now, it would be incredibly appreciated. If you’re able to donate, no matter how small, it would mean the world to us. Every dollar helps ease the financial stress and lets us focus on what matters most: helping Mom fight and being there for her every step of the way. If you aren’t able to donate, sharing this page is just as helpful.
She is everything to us. She is the kind of person who has always been there for others, and now, we’re hoping others can be there for her. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for taking the time to read her story, and for any support you’re able to give.
Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts,
The Wolfe Family
