On Sunday morning, June 8, 2025, a father and son went to enjoy a game of basketball at Louisville’s newly renovated Algonquin Park. What began as a peaceful outing quickly became a nightmare — both were wounded in a senseless act of gun violence.
They survived, but their lives are forever changed.
Together, they’ve undergone six surgeries, with more ahead. The physical pain is only part of the battle — their recovery journey will be long, emotional, and financially overwhelming.
