Hello, my name is Diego.
It is with a heavy heart that I share my story. Admittedly, it is difficult to open up and make myself vulnerable, but it’s my hope that by doing so you will gain an understanding of my journey and what led me to seek critical support during this incredibly challenging time.
Since January 2019, I have been battling a large brain tumor (a pituitary macroadenoma). Over the past years, I’ve undergone three major brain surgeries, the most recent being an open brain procedure.
This tumor has wreaked havoc on both my health and personal life. It has compromised my eyesight, leaving me partially blind and dependent on lifelong medication. I’ve lost my job due to the time required for surgeries and recovery, my savings have been completely depleted,
To prevent the tumor from growing further, I must now begin radiation therapy—a critical step in my recovery journey.
A little about me: I’m 52 years old, a father of four, and a passionate industrial designer. My youngest son is about to complete his second year in college, and it’s incredibly important to me to support him, even as I face my own challenges. My work involves creating furniture concepts by hand or computer, but my compromised eyesight has made this incredibly challenging. I still have finished designs I dream of bringing to life, but without the resources, this remains out of reach.
I humbly ask for your help during this difficult time. Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a tremendous difference in helping me access the care I need, rebuild my life, and continue supporting my family and dreams.
Ps. He’s a loving father and an good husband. Your prayers also means a lot to us. May God bless you all.
Jenn (wife)
Thank you for taking the time to consider my story and for any support you can provide.
Sincerely,
Diego
