Hello. My name is Nick Fusco. I hope to raise enough money to help my dear wife of 41 years regain her smile and her ability to eat solid foods.. Her name is Chelin. We are both retired and have Medicare Advantage Health plans that do not cover the surgery she needs. She lost all (except 8 on the bottom) her teeth to osteoporosis and fibromyalgia (jaw tendon weakness) bone loss in her jawbone. She had perfect oral hygiene, but her bone health failed her. Unfortunately after spending much our saving over the last 7 years trying to fit dentures, it appears she cannot even wear uppers any longer due to bone loss. She cannot eat properly, soft foods mostly, which affects her already aggravated IBS and GERD .My beautiful wife’s appearance embarrasses her since she cannot wear her teeth. To make matter even more sad is that apparently her osteoporosis medications(Prolia shots, Boniva) actually contribute to jaw bone loss. As her hips and leg bones heal her Jawline disappears. We have insurance that covers only $1500, as Medicare based insurance considers jawbone grafts for implants or dentures or the alternative Zygomatic Implants as not medically necessary. The costs we have found in South Carolina is around $40,000 for the complete procedures of bone graft and implants plus dentures. If you can spare anything please keep us in mind.
