My son is on a journey of becoming — not into someone new, but into the person he’s always quietly been. He’s been through so much already in life, and even in the face of cruelty or misunderstanding, he’s remained kind, thoughtful, and deeply human.
He has recently taken brave steps to live more fully in his truth, and while I won’t share personal details out of respect for his privacy, I can say that the next stage of his path involves gender-affirming care — including procedures that are expensive and often inaccessible for families like ours.
I’m creating this fundraiser as a mother who just wants to see her child whole, safe, and empowered. Every dollar raised will go toward his care — both medically and emotionally — and will be used with his full knowledge and consent when the time is right.
