The Iowa Women’s Moto class is a close group of women. We look out for each other and even though we are competitive we are there for each other.
Megan Heisel is a fearless competitor in our class racing her #11 Yamaha 250. Megan always has a smile on her face and loves riding her dirt bike. On June 15 during a race Megan had an unfortunate crash resulting in a spinal cord injury. The initial concern was that Megan had no feeling in her lower body. She was transported by ambulance to Marshalltown then redirected to the intensive care unit in Des Moines. There is hope for a full recovery but as of today she still doesn’t have movement or feeling from her hips down. The future is scary but Megan is a fighter and has a positive attitude. As you can imagine, her medical bills will be extensive. Your prayers are greatly appreciated. This fund has been established to try to offset these medical expenses so she can give 100% focus to her recovery. Thank you.
