Hello there, I am Biruk G. Desta, and I’m a survivor of acid burns who now lives in South Africa. I am addressing you with a hopeful and thankful heart — because today, I’m again asking for your assistance as I make the final move towards healing.
In January 2024, my life was transformed in an irreversible manner when I was attacked by a group of people who poured acid on my face. It was a repulsive, painful, and dark experience of my life. I was severely hurt, especially on my neck, head, face, and lost my right ear completely due to the burns.
Last year, I’ve undergone a multiple surgeries and treatments. Due to God’s grace, your prayers and support — most of my wounds have healed.
Now I am at the final stage of my recuperation. The only stage left is opening and reconstructing the missing ear. I need a prosthetic ear, and it will get me back my appearance and confidence level. I have received an estimate, and the total expense is ______________. This encompasses medical materials, fittings, and related costs.
