Hello, my name is Phoebe Elizabeth, and I’m the proud mother and sole caregiver of my beautiful daughter, Chade Mai.
Five years ago, Chade was diagnosed with clear cell adenocarcinoma, a rare aggressive cancer that, to this day, has no known cure. She was just 17 years old when our lives changed forever.
Since then, she has faced multiple surgeries, endless rounds of chemotherapy, and radiation therapy. Now, at just 22 years old, the toll on her body is becoming severe; her kidneys are functioning at only 35%.
We are entering an uncertain chapter with increasing medical needs and few clear answers.
As her sole caregiver and only provider, I often have to make impossible choices: Do I stay by her side after surgery, or do I leave to earn the income that supports our home and her healing?
We are emotionally and physically exhausted. But through it all, Chade remains full of light, love, and BIG DREAMS.
WHO CHADE IS BEYOND DIAGNOSIS:
Despite everything, Chade continues to pursue her goals. She is:
Earning her degree in school.
A newly certified Pilates instructor
Studying to become a certified birth doula
Dreaming of owning a farm and traveling the world
She wants not just to survive, but to live fully.
She believes that joy and healing are part of her purpose, not just her pain.
