Hi, my name is Jessica. I’ve lived with diabetes for 10 years and recently, it has led to serious complications that have turned my life upside down: gastroparesis and pancreatitis.
Gastroparesis is a condition that affects my stomach’s ability to digest food properly, causing constant nausea, vomiting, pain, and extreme difficulty keeping food down. On top of that, I’ve been suffering from pancreatitis, a painful and dangerous inflammation of the pancreas. Both of these conditions are directly related to my diabetes and have become a daily struggle. My last hospital stay was from acute starvation and I was at 1% kidney function, Had my son not have taken me when he did they said I would have been gone by that evening. I am scared and just want to be healthy and able to work. While healing has been so lonely, It has allowed God to show me what is important and has opened my eyes to what true friendship and how any relationship should be. I’m doing my best to stay strong, but the financial and emotional toll has been overwhelming. That’s why I’m asking with great humility for your financial help and prayers. I’m leaning on my faith and trusting God through this storm, but I also believe He works through people and that’s why I’m asking for help.
