Milanis Liver transplant journey

Hello family, friends & anyone who wants to follow along my daughter’s difficult journey. As most of you may know (or some of you), my daughter Milani has a severe & very rare life-threatening liver disease called Biliary Atresia. Biliary Atresia occurs when the bile ducts, which carry bile from the liver to the gallbladder and small intestine, are blocked or scarred. The damage can lead to cirrhosis, scarring, and loss of liver function and tissue. Liver specialists/surgeons did what they call the “Kasai” procedure & it directly aims to stabilize the liver until it no longer can function due to the scarring. Unfortunately, this procedure did not work the way surgeons would’ve wanted it to & in a few months my little baby who is not a year yet will need a liver transplant

We, the parents of Milani, ask for your help. As we are also suddenly hit with this financial burden, we’re facing significant expenses during this difficult time, including medications insurance may not cover, dietary & gas needs for us (the parents) as we live nearly 200 miles from the nearest Children’s Hospital & while our 2-year-old daughter stays with her grandparents, she needs diapers, wipes, etc. Every dollar you donate will go directly to these essentials, helping Milani & us thrive & heal post-transplant. Even a simple prayer for our family is grateful enough

Please share this with your family, friends & peers as we are also trying to bring awareness for families who have or know a loved one who also suffers from Biliary Atresia.

Tranding Fundraisers

I’ve created this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friends, Sarah and James, who are enduring every parent’s worst nightmare — the loss of their beloved son, Leo.

We’re heartbroken to share that our dear friend Alex passed away far too soon. His light, his laughter, his incredible spirit — they touched so many, and his absence is deeply felt.

Hi everyone — Angela here, writing on behalf of Matthew (for now). On December 6th, completely out of the blue, Matthew suffered a severe stroke.
