Dear Community,
I am writing to share an urgent request for support for our dear friend, Scott Whybra. Scott was hospitalized on June 7th after being found unresponsive due to acute renal failure due to an enlarged prostate. He is currently undergoing treatment and his condition necessitates extensive physical, occupational, and speech therapy to regain his mobility and independence. While Medicare provides coverage for an initial 20 days of skilled nursing care, ongoing medical expenses and the 20% copayment responsibility beyond this period will pose a substantial financial burden. Scott has consistently been a reliable and generous individual within his network of family and friends. He has always been willing to assist others with transportation, errands, support appointments and social engagements. His selfless nature and compassionate spirit have made him an invaluable member of our community. We are initiating a fundraising effort to assist Scott with the financial aspects of his medical expenses. Our goal is to ensure that he can focus entirely on his recovery without the added stress of financial strain. We kindly request your consideration in contributing to this endeavor.
