Support for Joe Longo & Family in His Fight Against Cancer

Hello, my name is Geoff Prince, and I’ve had the privilege of coaching both with and against Joe Longo for over eight years. In that time, Joe and his family have become more than friends — they’ve become part of our family. Today, I’m reaching out on their behalf as they begin a journey none of us ever want to walk: Joe’s fight against esophageal cancer.

Joe is a blue-collar, hands-on, hardworking small business owner, someone who’s always out on the job site, doing the work himself. But cancer doesn’t respect schedules. Between treatments, procedures, travel, and recovery — much of it being coordinated through MD Anderson in Houston, one of the nation’s top cancer centers — Joe will be forced to step back from his day-to-day work. This fundraiser is to ease the emotional and financial strain the Longo’s will be facing and help ensure they can focus fully on healing.

For those who don’t personally know the Longo family, let me introduce you to one of the most faithful, giving, and tightly knit families you’ll ever meet:

Jami, Joe’s wife, is a woman of unwavering faith, strength, and compassion — truly the spiritual and emotional center of their home.

Joey, their oldest son, is a light to those around him. A collegiate basketball player, Joey frequently works alongside his father on construction job sites whenever he can. He brings gratitude and faith and is a source of strength for his entire family during this time.

Jazzy, their middle child, is a standout softball player on a full athletic scholarship at Northern Colorado University — also a sister in Christ, humble and driven, both on and off the field and a wonderful artist.

Jaylee, the youngest, is heading into her sophomore year at El Toro High School and already making waves as a softball player, a kind-hearted friend, fantastic student, and a faithful young woman.

And then there’s Joe — a pillar in the community, a man who has devoted his life to coaching and mentoring young athletes at the highest levels of youth and travel softball. He’s coached teams to win state and national championships, but he’s reflective of more than just the scoreboard. Joe’s focus has always been on shaping strong, confident, disciplined young people. His players repeat one of his guiding affirmations before every game:

“I’m beautiful. I’m confident. I’m dominant.”

Because with Joe, it’s not just about the game — it’s about believing in yourself and walking in purpose.

Now, it’s our turn to rally around him.

Joe has given so much to so many. The countless hours he’s spent on fields, in dugouts, and on road trips — not just coaching, but pouring life into our kids — are unmatched. He’s helped raise a generation of athletes, leaders, and strong young women.

Today, we ask you to give back. Any amount, big or small, will help ease the burden and allow Joe and his family to focus on what matters most — faith, family, and healing. And if you can’t give financially, we humbly ask for your prayers — prayers for healing, for peace of mind, and for perfect skill and wisdom in every doctor, nurse, and caregiver involved in Joe’s treatment.

Let’s show the Longo family the same love and support they’ve shown so many others.

Let’s surround them with strength, faith, and hope.

With love,

Geoff Prince

Tranding Fundraisers

I’ve created this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friends, Sarah and James, who are enduring every parent’s worst nightmare — the loss of their beloved son, Leo.

We’re heartbroken to share that our dear friend Alex passed away far too soon. His light, his laughter, his incredible spirit — they touched so many, and his absence is deeply felt.

Hi everyone — Angela here, writing on behalf of Matthew (for now). On December 6th, completely out of the blue, Matthew suffered a severe stroke.
