David’s Urgent Transplant Journey

Hi my name is April for those who do not me or My family.

My son David, has been approved for heart evaluation and will be placed after clearance on heart and liver transplant list. When we originally talked with his cardiologist at the UW in Seattle few weeks ago, we thought we have at least month or two to prepare for the multiple appointments coming up he has to do in order to get through this process.

But that is not the case.

David was born CHD and since then he has been through multiple heart surgeries, has a pacemaker and is now in stage 4 heart failure and stage 3 liver failure. Every day is a decline as we wait.

we have these appointments scheduled starting the week of June 23, me and my husband both have take time out off work to be there as we will be caregivers now and after the transplant. We are looking into resources as we will have to stay in Seattle multiple times before, during and up to year after transplant. But this takes time.

we are lucky enough that his medical care is taken care of, but everything else is up to us and I am here just ask for help which is very hard for me!

so the amount we are asking for will be for hotel rooms for our stays as some of the multiple appointments he has are day to day in row, gas and parking fees.

we also will be renting a vehicle as the one we have is not good fit for drives back and forth right now.

Tranding Fundraisers

I’ve created this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friends, Sarah and James, who are enduring every parent’s worst nightmare — the loss of their beloved son, Leo.

We’re heartbroken to share that our dear friend Alex passed away far too soon. His light, his laughter, his incredible spirit — they touched so many, and his absence is deeply felt.

Hi everyone — Angela here, writing on behalf of Matthew (for now). On December 6th, completely out of the blue, Matthew suffered a severe stroke.
