Hi, my name is Sarah, and I’m creating this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friend Tracey Renner — someone who has spent her life fighting for others, and now needs all of us to help her fight for her own life.
Right now, as I write this, Tracey is at Penn Medicine in Philadelphia, preparing to receive a life-saving kidney and pancreas transplant. This moment is huge. It’s the chance she’s been praying for — but it also comes with enormous physical, emotional, and financial challenges.
Tracey is 37 years old and lives in Lansdale, Pennsylvania. She’s lived with Type 1 Juvenile Diabetes since the age of 9 — nearly three decades of managing an unforgiving disease. Despite the pain, she’s always shown up for others. She’s in long-term recovery herself, and she’s spent years working in addiction and mental health treatment, helping people find hope when they feel hopeless. She currently works full-time as a billing specialist at a local treatment center, and she’s one of the hardest-working, most selfless people I know.
In early 2025, Tracey was diagnosed with End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD). On May 21, she began dialysis — seven days a week, at home, all while continuing to work and manage constant appointments and labs. She’s been pushing through exhaustion and depression with strength and grace, but the toll has been immense.
Now, she’s been given a second chance — a transplant that could save her life and give her freedom from dialysis and diabetes. But with that hope comes an overwhelming wave of new expenses.
This fundraiser will help cover:
• Medical and hospital bills not fully covered by insurance
• Anti-rejection and post-transplant medications
• Time off work for recovery
• Travel, lodging, and food expenses while at Penn
• Long-term follow-up care and basic living costs
Tracey would never ask for this help herself — but I know how much she’s already given to others. She is fiercely loving, full of fire, and not ready to give up. She has so much more to do, so much more to give.
If you’re able to donate, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. And if you can’t give right now, please share this campaign. Every dollar, every share, every prayer matters.
Thank you for helping my beautiful, brave friend step into this next chapter of her life with hope and support surrounding her.
With love and gratitude,
Sarah
