Hello, my name is Jessica Anthony and I have been struggling with kidney stones for several years now. It has been slowing me down. I’m a runner, walker, enjoy 10k races, skating, baton twirling, traveling by myself, and eating weird things.
On Sunday, I came back from Portland, Oregon, and went to Point Defiance Park in Tacoma. Around 9 pm, I thought it was food poisoning.
It was horrible pain throughout my stomach, and I was throwing up.
I went straight to the ER and found out it was my kidney stone, 7mm. It got stuck.
I think I was overwhelmed and anxious about school, doing work-study, and working at the same time. I thought it was better. I had an appointment with a urologist on Tuesday. I took Monday off because of the pain.
I went back home on Tuesday and couldn’t sleep, couldn’t walk, and couldn’t move. I had to call the ambulance to pick me up. I went to the ER to settle the pain, then transferred to a different ER to get surgery. I have stayed in the hospital for almost 4 days.
I have missed 4 days of work. I’m trying to catch up on my medical bills, and my new apartment that I am going to move into on 6/30. The lease is signed already.
What would be most helpful is my medical bills. This surgery was my first one since I was 18 months old.
