Hi, I’m Thu. I put together this fundraiser to help Tommy rebuild his life after a tragedy for him and his puppy, Gigi. Tommy is a caring, resilient 21-year-old who has faced unimaginable challenges. His tragic losses and desire to turn his life around have led us here.
At 21, he was unfairly charged with aiding and abetting (although he had no prior knowledge of it) due to a friend’s actions, leading to a plea (under duress) coerced by a public defender. While incarcerated, his two-year-old daughter was killed, sending him into a spiral of grief and addiction.
Despite trying to find a stable job, he couldn’t because of his record. In 2016, he finally found two jobs and worked 7 days a week, eventually being promoted to team lead. Financial betrayals by colleagues and friends led to further struggles.
He is now two years clean and still undergoing treatments, living in a friend’s garage, and devoted to his emotional support puppy, Gigi, who has medical needs.
Tommy is homeless, Gigi has a hernia and digestive problems, and Tommy also has medical issues from the past. His dream is to start a food truck business with a used RV.
