Hello to the friends of Heidi and Steve Bonnist! Some of you already know that Heidi had brain surgery on June 5th to remove a benign tumor. Her surgery ended up with complications involving brain bleeding and swelling, causing stroke symptoms on the left side of her body and requiring additional surgery. Fortunately, she’s in very good hands, and is conscious and responsive. The long-term outlook for her is great. The issue is that she’s now been in intensive care at the Barrow Neurological Institute for over a week, and her surgeon is going to transfer her to a brain trauma rehab facility in Phoenix for at least three more weeks. Heidi’s unexpected medical bills, as well as the Phoenix hotel bills for Steve, are quickly mounting… If you are able to help, please consider donating a little bit of money to help them get through this time.
