Our beautiful daughter Arwen was diagnosed in 2022 with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. After three months inpatient at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, she underwent a grueling bone marrow transplant. Cancer-free since 2023, she has been regaining her strength, regrowing her hair, and living a normal life as a high school student.
Unexpectedly, the leukemia returned. We do not know exactly when it happened, but we found out in June 2025. This means another bone marrow transplant and the start of another long road. She was nearly at the end of her first road, and would have been officially declared a survivor in February.
We need help! Both of us will need to take time off of work, and there will be additional expenses we incur as we go back and forth between our home and CHOP, more than an hour away.
Please spread the word and help however you can. Arwen is an exceptional kid– anybody who knows her will tell you that!
