Matt’s Eye Surgery: A Path to Hope

Hi, everyone out there. This is Matt, and he is having a hard time out in the real world. He’s been having a hard time finding work, partly because he doesn’t have a driver’s license. He recently tried moving to a new town with some friends, but they can no longer financially help him any longer. He has to move back in with his brother and sister-in-law. They too can’t support him financially but can give him a roof over his head.

He found out that he thought he just needed glasses but has cataracts and needs surgery. Because he hasn’t had work for a while now, he no longer has insurance and is seeking charity assistance for that, as well as temporary disability benefits. All this takes time, and this is just another setback, taking a toll on his mental health. Any money he gets will help with payment for surgery and his recovery time so he can get out and keep looking for a job.

Tranding Fundraisers

I’ve created this fundraiser on behalf of my dear friends, Sarah and James, who are enduring every parent’s worst nightmare — the loss of their beloved son, Leo.

We’re heartbroken to share that our dear friend Alex passed away far too soon. His light, his laughter, his incredible spirit — they touched so many, and his absence is deeply felt.

Hi everyone — Angela here, writing on behalf of Matthew (for now). On December 6th, completely out of the blue, Matthew suffered a severe stroke.
