Willie Junei Lee, a 70-year-old professional recording artist, entertainer, and founder of Ian I Entertainment Studios, has dedicated his life to music. Born in Gary, Indiana, Willie is known for his talent as a stage performer, studio musician, guitar instructor, keyboardist, songwriter, and producer. He even went to school with the Jackson Five, sharing his early years in Gary with some of music’s most iconic figures. Since starting music at just four years old, he has inspired countless people through his performances and mentorship. As a friend who has known Willie since 1967, I’ve seen firsthand the impact he’s had on our community and the music world.
In 2017, Willie suffered a stroke that changed his life. Despite his determination and resilience, he has faced ongoing health challenges and financial setbacks. Recently, Willie was hospitalized again, and his situation has become urgent. He has fallen behind on rent and medical bills, and with his apartment building sold, he could be left without a home at any moment. His landlord has allowed him to stay until the last minute, but time is running out. Willie is a proud person and would never ask for help himself, but I know he needs support now more than ever.
This fundraiser is organized out of care and respect for Willie. The funds raised will go directly to him to cover medical expenses and rent, helping him stay in his home and focus on recovery. Willie’s friends and fans often ask when he’ll release new music, and I want him to know that he’s not alone—there are people who care about him and want to see him thrive again. Any support you can offer will make a real difference in his life during this difficult time.
I would like to thank you all in advance for all you do for a gifted Musician Like Willie Junei Lee
