Although there was a brief period of stability, my mother’s condition has taken a turn for the worse. Her blood pressure has dropped again, and doctors have had to place her back on a ventilator. The infection in her leg continues to spread, and doctors are now considering amputation as a last resort to save her life.
My mother does not have health insurance in the U.S., and the medical expenses are overwhelming for our family. While caring for two small children, I’m doing everything I can to support my mother through this devastating time.
