At the end of April, Becky was diagnosed with Stage II breast cancer. Becky will undergo surgery on June 1st with hormone therapy to follow. The rest of her treatment plan will be established after surgery.
Marty and Becky are tip top humans and care deeply for people in their circle. They open the doors of their home wide, waiting with fresh baked cookies and listening ears. Curling up on their sofa to chat is like coming home. Every summer, Becky makes magic for their three children, running them to the pool and whipping up snacks for all their friends. Their home is the one everyone flocks too.
This summer will look a little different.
I’m starting this fundraiser to help ease their loss —
loss of a traditional summer
loss of time spent on that welcoming white couch
loss of Becky’s ability to get up and make dinner for her family for a time
loss of energy to drive children to and from places
Contributing to their fundraiser will help them use their time for the important things.
Cancer sucks.
It’s expensive — both monetarily and in time/energy — by doing what you can here, they can reclaim some time for summer — for energy spent in the right places and on the right things.
