Hi, I’m Joan, Tazi Jays mom. I love, love, love my Tazi Jay. He means the world to me. He’s my reason for getting up in the morning and having a great day. I rescued him from Midlands Humane Society almost a year ago and he is my ESA. Several weeks ago, Tazi Jay fell and hurt his back right leg. It was an accident of course. He was playing and was retreating his toy. The first vet we went to said it was sprained and to rest. A week later we got a second opinion from another vet and got X-rays done. I’m glad we did as he injured his tendon and knee. The procedure is Right TPLO and MPL Stabilization and Bloodwork. We were referred to Sirius Veterinary Orthopedic Center and Tazi Jay needs surgery. I am on social security which pays our rent and work 20 hours weekly to pay the rest of our bills and buy food. I used the $400 in savings for the other vet appointments, meds, and Sirius consultation. I am saving $500 for his surgery and have put in applications for financial assistance. I love Tazi Jay and he is getting good care now but he needs this surgery. If anyone can help, I would greatly appreciate it.
