Hi everyone,
My name is Rondo Thompson, and just a few weeks ago, my life was turned upside down.
On the night of [may 20,2025], I was involved in a serious car accident. I don’t remember much after the impact—I just remember waking up in the hospital with unbearable pain and the news that I had suffered a compound fracture in my right leg. The doctors told me it was one of the worst they’ve seen: my femur was shattered in multiple places, and my knee was severely damaged.
I’ve already undergone one emergency surgery just to stabilize the leg, but I need at least two more procedures to repair the damage properly. Without them, I risk permanent mobility issues—or worse, losing the leg altogether.
I can’t afford the surgery on my own I have almost just enough I’m short a couple thousand and I can’t work.
I was in between jobs and didn’t have active health insurance at the time of the crash. The out-of-pocket medical bills are already piling up, and the cost of the next surgery is estimated to be over $18,000. I’m trying to stay strong, but I can’t do this without help.
I never thought I’d be in a position where I’d have to ask for help like this. But I believe in the kindness of strangers and the strength of community. If you can donate even a few dollars, it will make a massive difference. If you can’t donate, sharing this page could still help change my life.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
