Help me keep fighting
My name is Gloria Guajardo, and I live in Brownsville, Texas. On January 8th, I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. Since then, I have undergone numerous medical tests, scans and appointments with specialists in both the United States and Mexico, finally undergoing a total thyroidectomy. Due to doctor’s orders, I have been unable to return to work since the surgery and, therefore, have not been able to earn an income. As a single mom of 3 young kids (ages 6, 10 and 14) I have been really struggling to make ends meet even with the help of my wonderful family and friends, who I am so grateful for.
On June 13th, I will begin my treatment with radioactive iodine to hopefully kill any residual thyroid cancer cells and prevent future cancer recurrence. For this reason, I have created this fundraiser account so that, with your support, you can help me cover the debt for past medical expenses and contribute to pay for my upcoming treatment.

Ayúdame a seguir luchando
Me llamo Gloria Guajardo y vivo en Brownsville, Texas. El 8 de enero me diagnosticaron cáncer de tiroides. Desde entonces, me he sometido a numerosas pruebas médicas, exploraciones y consultas con especialistas tanto en Estados Unidos como en México, hasta que finalmente me sometí a una tiroidectomía total. Por orden médica, no he podido volver a trabajar desde la cirugía y, por lo tanto, no he podido generar ingresos. Como madre soltera de tres niños (de 6, 10 y 14 años), me ha costado mucho llegar a fin de mes, incluso con la ayuda de mi maravillosa familia y amigos, a quienes les estoy muy agradecida.
Este 13 de junio comenzaré mi tratamiento con yodo radioactivo para poder matar cualquier célula cancerígena tiroidea residual y prevenir la recurrencia del cáncer en un futuro. Por eso, he creado esta cuenta de fundraiser para que, con tu apoyo, puedas ayudarme a cubrir la deuda de gastos médicos pasados y contribuir a pagar mi próximo tratamiento.
