I am an almost 70-year-old disabled senior. I have worked many jobs all my life. Five years ago, I developed DDD, Degenerative Disc Disease, where your vertebrae disintegrate and start collapsing. Now my entire spine is fused with metal, and I’m in a wheelchair. Thank God for Medicaid, because it paid for my surgeries.
Here’s the problem I’m having. Even though Medicaid paid for my surgeries, now my teeth are crumbling, and to get dentures, I have to pay thousands out-of-pocket. I am living on Social Security and now don’t know what to do. I’m not complaining; some people are worse off than I am. However, I am in a difficult situation.
