Hi. My name is Janelly. I am 13 years old and I have a cat named Ramona or “Mona.” Mona is a 14-year-old ragdoll cat, and was recently diagnosed with epilepsy. Epilepsy is a chronic condition characterized by recurring seizures caused by abnormal brain electrical activity. Seizures can vary in duration and severity, with some being brief and others lasting longer. Mona has also been to the vet and they have given her 3 types of pills. These pills are given to her 3 times a day. Mona has never been a hard-to-deal-with type of cat, but she has always had a bad habit of not drinking water. She is now also having liver problems, which just means we have to give her way more water now.
As all of these visits are starting to add up, she is also needing to get her blood work done every few months, which is adding up way more than we can do. Not only am I giving her the pills she needs, but I am also doing everything I can to make extra money. I have been selling slime, lemonade, bracelets, and even selling nice things from our garage that we don’t use anymore. I am even looking to get a job as a babysitter.
If you can even donate just 5 to 10 dollars, it means a lot to me. Mona is my little baby and I don’t know what I would do without her. Even though people tell me, “it’s just a cat,” I still love her way more than that. Please, I hope I’m not asking for too much. Thank you.
