I’ve created this fundraiser to support the lovely George Scott and her family as they navigate the end of her life.
In early May, George received the diagnosis of end-stage pancreatic, liver, and spleen cancer, and was given a maximum of several months to live. Her symptoms came on suddenly, and have progressed very rapidly. In the last month, she has gone from living an independent life, to requiring care 24 hours a day.
All of us who know George have known her to be a strong, funny, and colorful person who is never afraid to tell you exactly what she is thinking. Her life will be an unimaginable loss to the world, and to all who have loved her.
George will be leaving behind her life partner Mike, as well as her two children: Dusty and Taj. Her diagnosis, and the rapid decline of her health have come as a significant shock to her loved ones.
As we all know, cancer comes at a tremendous cost—both emotionally and financially. This fundraiser is meant to ease the financial pressure on George’s family so that they can focus on what is important: spending as much time as possible with her in the limited time she has left.
Whether you have known George and her family personally, or are simply inspired to help, any contribution would be appreciated more than I can put into words. All donations will go directly to the Scott-Peterson-Cahill family.
Love and gratitude.
