Help Sister Chiara Agnes (Nina Tomlinson) After a Devastating Car Accident
We are reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for your prayers and support for Sister Chiara Agnes, known to her family as Nina Tomlinson—a devoted Missionary of Charity Sister serving in Brazil.
Born in Miami, Florida, Nina has dedicated her life to serving the poorest of the poor with compassion, joy, and love. She is a truly beautiful human being, living out her faith through daily acts of sacrifice and service.
The Accident
While on mission in Brazil, Nina and three other Sisters were involved in a serious car accident. Three of the Sisters were injured and taken to the nearest hospital. Nina, tragically, suffered the most severe injuries and remains in critical condition.
She sustained a spinal cord injury and has already undergone two major surgeries. Nina is currently unable to move and is dependent on a ventilator to breathe. She now has developed pneumonia and is urgently needing good medical care.
What Happens Next
Doctors in Brazil have recommended that as soon as she is stable, Nina be airlifted to Miami for urgent medical care and specialized treatment. This journey, and her recovery, will require:
• Air medical transport from Brazil to the U.S.
• 24/7 medical care
• Respiratory support
• Ongoing therapy and rehabilitation
• Long-term treatment and equipment
How You Can Help
We are asking for your help to give Nina the best chance at recovery—to breathe on her own, to regain movement, and to live a full and joyful life. Funds raised will go directly toward her medical evacuation, treatment, care, equipment, and ongoing recovery needs.
Every donation, no matter the size, makes a difference. If you can’t give right now, please keep Nina in your prayers and share this fundraiser with others.
On behalf of Nina’s family, especially her parents Jim and Maria and brother CJ, thank you for your love, generosity, and faith.
 Please pray for Sister Chiara Agnes.
