Dear Friends & Family,
As you know, I’ll be undergoing two surgeries as part of my breast cancer treatment — the first is scheduled for June 26, and the second will take place in September or October. Each will require about six weeks of recovery. It’s a big journey, but I feel incredibly held by the love, encouragement, and energy you have already shared.
I’m beyond grateful to have a network of people who keep asking how they can support — it means more than I can say.
This fundraiser is one way to make that support a little more tangible. It’s here to help not just me, but Kris, who will be my steady rock and caregiver through both recoveries. Contributions will go toward things like extra house cleaning help with laundry and dishes, medical supplies to make healing easier, meals through Uber Eats so Kris doesn’t have to cook around the clock, and help with puppy walks and playing with Teddy, who still needs to run, play, and get his energy out. Funds will also help to cover additional therapy sessions with my amazing therapist Jamie, who has been by my side for 10 years and is not only an incredible therapist but also a mentor, a compass to remind me of my values, and a soul sister.
I see this chapter of my life as one of a deep reset. It comes with loss, sadness, and fear of the unknown. But it is also an opportunity to take an entirely new view of how I live my life. When faced with life’s challenges, one of the benefits is that it brings clarity — clarity on how I want to prioritize my precious energy and time, and a reminder of what really matters.
I’ve committed to myself that this section of my life will be about rest, healing, and acceptance. And this page is about being vulnerable, asking for help, and creating space for others to step in during my time of need.
I feel beyond grateful for this group that I’ve curated in my life. Somewhere I did something right to have such amazing people to reach out to and share the weight of this together. Thank you for being part of my life. Your presence, your energy, and your love are felt deeply.
