This is my 20-month-old daughter, Juno. She is currently suffering from an undiagnosed condition. We have been informed that it could be nocturnal seizures or a severe sleep condition. She only has these episodes in her sleep, and unfortunately, they have been getting worse. She went from only having a couple a week to 2-3 a day. During these episodes, she is asleep and will start shaking out of control.
My daughter currently doesn’t have insurance and hasn’t for close to a year now. I have done everything that I possibly can to get it back, and every time I call them, they tell me that her case has yet to be looked at and is still processing. We currently owe around $2,600 for her medical bills. She has her first neurology appointment on August 27th, and we are expected to pay $257.00 before her appointment or at check-in at her appointment. They wrote me a letter informing me of this and also informed me that it was just an estimate. They stated that if they were to do tests on her, give her a diagnosis, or prescribe medication, it would add to the bill.
We are struggling as young parents to scrape enough money for bills in general, and there is absolutely no way we can come up with the money to pay for her medical bills. We are at a total loss of what to do at this point. It has come to either not taking her to the doctor anymore and being forced to make her suffer or reaching out for help from others. Please do not donate to us if you don’t have the financial stability to do so. I will kindly take a prayer, and if you could share this, it would be most appreciated. This was my absolute last option I feel like I have.
