I’m raising funds for my husband, Terry Colson, who is currently battling end-stage renal disease, aka kidney failure. After several years of struggling with declining health, we’ve reached a critical point: Terry needs a kidney transplant to survive. Currently, we are getting ready to start home PD dialysis as we are waiting for the green light for a new kidney for him.
This journey has been heartbreaking, overwhelming, and humbling—but we’re holding on to hope, faith, and love from our family and friends to keep us going.
Why We Need Your Help
Terry is on the transplant list, and while we are grateful for this chance, the process comes with tremendous medical and financial challenges. The cost of the transplant surgery alone is staggering, but that’s only part of it. We are also facing:
Pre- and post-transplant care and testing
Lifelong anti-rejection medications
Frequent hospital visits and monitoring
Loss of income due to time off work for me to take care of him. Terry has been unable to work for a while and has no income at this time.
Travel, transportation, and lodging for appointments
Despite insurance, the out-of-pocket costs are far more than we can afford. We’ve created this fundraiser as a way to ask for support from our community—whether through donations, prayers, or simply sharing our story.
About Terry: He is a loving and devoted husband and father. He is a loving, kind person who will help anyone out. Due to his illness, he is no longer able to work, and without his income, it makes it hard to pay the bills and keep a roof over our heads. He would love to get back to work one day after a new kidney.
How You Can Help
If you are able to give, no amount is too small—every dollar brings us one step closer to the transplant and the healing that Terry so desperately needs. And if you can’t donate right now, please share this campaign with others who might be able to help.
Thank you for reading, for caring, and for walking with us through this.
With love and gratitude,
Terry and Bonnie Colson
