I am a pre-dental student at the University of Notre Dame, and I’ve been given the incredible opportunity to serve on a dental mission trip to Jamaica this summer with the Jamaica Dental Mission (JDM). JDM works to reduce oral health disparities among children and adults in western Jamaica through a partnership with local Rotarians, community supporters, and visiting volunteers like myself. During the trip, we will provide a wide range of services, including preventative oral care, denture repairs, root canals, and more, to underserved communities. This mission is especially meaningful to me as it aligns with my passion for service and my future in dentistry. I am asking for your support to help cover the cost of travel, supplies, and lodging for this trip. Any contribution, big or small, will help bring critical dental care to those in need and support my journey toward becoming a compassionate, community-focused dentist.
