Hello, my name is Catie Constas, and I am organizing this fundraiser and writing on behalf of my beloved partner, Emma Salvucci. Emma will be getting life changing gender affirming surgery this July, and our little family is asking for your help.
Many of you may already know Emma from her work in the Boston music and art scene and beyond. An avid musician, artist, and event organizer, Emma has always been committed to platforming queer and underground artists, and creating safe and welcoming spaces for queer people in the community to be themselves.
Emma is also my incredible fiancee (we are getting married in September!) and mother to our two rabbits, Marshmallow and Cookie Dough.
This July, she will be receiving a necessary and important gender affirming breast augmentation. This procedure will help her feel much more comfortable in her body, and will address a major and persistent source of dysphoria in her daily life.
We are asking for funds to help support her in paying for this surgery — the procedure is expected to cost us around $2,000 out of pocket after insurance. The healing process will take her out of work for at least two weeks, some of which I will also need to take off to take care of her.
Support from our community will allow us to feel secure throughout her healing process and start our married life on a good foot. Thank you for your time and consideration, and we are so grateful to be able ask our community for assistance during this exciting time. With love,
Catie, Emma, Marshmallow, and Cookie Dough
