Would you be willing to help me ?? Anyone remember me, Kenae Dolphus, from season nine of my 600lb life? I realize it’s been a good little minute since I’ve shown my face to the world. I have been fighting in the background for my life.
For the past three years, I have been under the care of a great cardiologist, wonderfully caring primary doctor, and a talented and willing bariatric surgeon all in my hometown. With God on all sides I have fought a good fight and refuse to lay down now and accept failure.
As of today, I have been completely cleared from all medical personnel to have weight loss surgery. I’ve completed rigorous dieting, an exercise plan, and counseling.
Finally, my heart, mind, and body are in agreement. It is now time to take back what I gave away which was a chance at an abundant life. I do not believe God brought me this far for me to just give up. The best part of this journey has been witnessing my story motivate and inspire many others.
Here’s the deal. Insurance won’t cover my weight loss procedure completely. And due to weight limits at my local hospitals, I can’t get the most optimal surgery but I can have a less invasive yet more costly version. The total cost for the hospital doctor and labs is going to exceed the amount I have saved. I am $5000 away from having enough funds. As soon as payment is made, my surgery can proceed and my chance at life can be renewed! The rest of my life has the potential of being the Best of my life!
If you feel led to help financially, I would be beyond grateful. If you can’t give, I still ask for your prayers. I am a child of God, and I know He didn’t bring me this far just to leave me here. I believe with all my heart that what He has for me is for me. May His will be done.
Thank you all for your support — past, present, and future. May God bless you abundantly!
