My boyfriend would never ask for this—but I will, because he needs it, and he deserves it.
He’s kind, generous, hardworking, and always smiling through the pain—But it’s not his genuine smile because he’s been struggling with serious dental issues for years. Unfortunately, he doesn’t have insurance, and the cost of care is far beyond what we can manage.
I’ve started this fundraiser without his knowledge because he’s the kind of person who always gives to others but never asks for anything in return. I want to do something meaningful for the person who brings me so much joy
When he was a teenager, he was hit in the face by a baseball. It caused major damage and led to the loss of one of his front teeth (his lateral incisor). After dealing with infections and healing complications, he was given a dental flipper as a temporary fix.
He’s had to live with that flipper for years, and it affects him every single day. He rarely shows his true smile because he’s embarrassed by the way it looks and feels. It’s uncomfortable and needs to be secured with Fixodent, which prevents him from eating or drinking while it’s in.
We’re both foodies—we love trying new places and sharing meals—but when we do, he has to take the flipper out and avoid conversation with the waitress because it’s embarrassing. Because of this, we don’t go out to eat much.
Recently, the tooth detached from the flipper. We tried to fix it ourselves, but it doesn’t fit right anymore. It’s even more uncomfortable now, and he’s taking it in and out constantly just to get through the day. That means using more Fixodent, which contains zinc—not ideal for frequent, long-term use.
He works hard, 50 hours a week, and doesn’t receive benefits like insurance, and we just can’t afford this kind of expense right now.
We’ve been together for 4 years. He has gone above and beyond for me and my 2 children. I just want to give this man his smile and confidence back. I want to give him a better quality of life because that is what he has done for our family.
My hope is to raise $5,000 by Christmas so I can surprise him with this Smile Fund. With this money, he would be able to get an implant that would look and feel so much better. It would give him his quality of life back. His smile back.
Every single dollar helps—and just sharing this means the world to me!
I’ll be documenting the journey anonymously through a new TikTok page: @LoveFixesSmile
Thank you so much for reading, for caring, and for believing in the power of love!
