Hi, my name is Haley Cole, but everyone calls me Beth. I’m a full-time college student who also works at 7 Brew, and in my free time, I love crafts and all sorts of outdoor activities like hiking and swimming. For the past few years, I’ve been quietly battling some challenging autoimmune conditions. Juggling my studies and work while trying to maintain my independence has become incredibly difficult.
There are days when I rely on a cane or a rollator, and lately, I’m even considering a wheelchair. A major challenge I face are frequent, sudden blood sugar drops — sometimes multiple times a day — due to a past stomach surgery. I also experience debilitating flare-ups that can leave me unable to get out of bed to even reach medication or use the restroom. On top of that, I’ve been dealing with frequent syncope episodes.
To help me regain some independence and better manage these unpredictable health challenges, I’m hoping to get an ethically bred and obedience-trained service dog. This amazing dog would be specifically trained to assist with medical alerts, mobility, retrieval, and deep pressure therapy. I’ve spent months researching and connecting with other service dog handlers to fully understand the incredible support these animals provide.
Unfortunately, the financial burden of my ongoing medical care makes it incredibly difficult to afford a service dog on my own. Any contribution, big or small, would make a profound difference in my life and help me get the assistance I desperately need. Please consider donating and sharing my story. Thank you for your support!
