We are reaching out to you with hopeful spirits for baby Paul. Just 40 days ago, he entered this world as a beautiful gift to our family, but he now faces an unimaginable battle. Paul has been diagnosed with megacolon, a serious condition that has kept him in the hospital for the past 30 days.
In Venezuela, where financial hardship looms large, the healthcare system is struggling to provide the necessary care. Unfortunately, the hospital cannot perform the surgery baby Paul urgently needs without the required medical supplies, such as sutures, gauze, and other essentials—all of which must be purchased out of pocket by his family. In an ideal world I would like for the baby to go to a private clinic but unfortunately my family in Venezuela cannot afford the cost.
His grandmother, my cousin, is devastated but remains hopeful. She has been by baby’s side, praying for his recovery while grappling with the overwhelming medical costs that seem insurmountable. Each day that passes is critical for Paul’s health, and without the required funds, his chances of recovery are diminishing.

En Venezuela, donde la dificultad financiera pesa mucho, el sistema de salud está luchando por proporcionar la atención necesaria. Desafortunadamente, el hospital no puede realizar la cirugía que el bebé necesita urgentemente sin los suministros médicos requeridos, como suturas, gasas y otros elementos esenciales, todos los cuales deben ser comprados de bolsillo por su familia. En un mundo ideal me gustaría que el bebé fuese a una clínica privada pero los costos no son alcanzable para su familia.
