Help a single full-time Dad of Two Fight Lymphoma

I’m 43 years old. I’m a full-time father of 2 kids. My son is 18, my daughter is 11. I was diagnosed with stage 4 High Grade B-Cell Lymphoma. It was something that didn’t really show up until it was really bad. After being sick for a month and pushing through it to finish spring planting, I went to the local ER because I couldn’t deal with it anymore. After some tests and scans, the attending physician at the ER said I had hypercalcemia and was going to be transferred to Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, IN. I declined the transfer because I needed to get someone to look after my kids first. A couple of hours later, I drove myself to BMH and checked in. The following day consisted of a lot of blood draws and scans. Early evening, the head nurse came into my room followed by a doctor who introduced himself as an oncologist/hematologist. My heart sank. I knew the news they were coming to deliver wasn’t going to be good news. The tests were in, and I had cancer. The type was unknown at the time. The following day, they took me to do a biopsy of the lymph node in my neck. They took a few samples and said they would have the results in a few days. After the biopsy, I went to have a PET scan done. After that was finished, I was wheeled back to my room. I received a lot of IV fluids to help with the hypercalcemia. Once that was under control, I was released on the 5th day. The following week, I went to the BMH Cancer Center to meet with the oncologist to get the biopsy and PET scan results. The biopsy was inconclusive; PET scan results confirmed it was cancer throughout my lymphatic system and starting in my bones. But we still didn’t know what type of cancer. A couple of days later, I had to go back for a second biopsy to hopefully get better samples. Once those results came in, I went back to the Cancer Center to get the results. The 2nd biopsy results showed it was High Grade B-Cell Lymphoma. The oncologist said he felt confident that we could clear it up with treatments of R-CHOP chemo. Still in shock and saddened by the news, I carried on. The following week, I went in to have a port placed in my chest. Four days after that, I received my first round of chemo. They kept me in the hospital for 48 hours for the first round to see how my body reacted. On July 17th, 2023, I received my first round of R-CHOP chemo beginning at 8 am. They said it would take around 4 hours for the infusion. My body didn’t like it very much. My blood pressure dropped really low. I couldn’t stay awake for very long. I slept through most of it. But I made it through and was released on the 19th. I went back for an infusion every 3 weeks. After my first 3 treatments, I went in for another PET scan to see if it was showing any signs of it working. Which it did! I had 3 more treatments to go! My last one was on November 17th! I went in for a PET scan 2 weeks after my last treatment. I got the results from my last treatment on December 4th. PET scan showed it was gone! It worked! The oncologist said no more chemo!! I’ve been going back for lab work and a PET scan every 6 months since. The last scan was a little concerning because it showed some things that looked like the cancer is coming back. Not the news we wanted! So, I’ve missed a little bit of work here and there due to chemo treatments, doctor appointments, and whatnot. I’ve lost my insurance since my last chemo treatment. Each PET scan costs me out of my pocket. They’re expensive! Due to that, I’ve depleted my savings and I’ve fallen behind on my bills and vehicle payment. I don’t know what else to do. I’m probably going to be getting chemo again, which means more trips to Muncie and more medical bills. It’s hard raising 2 children, working full-time, and dealing with all of this. The medical bills and other bills are already building up! All funding will go to medical bills and expenses. Any help is greatly appreciated!!
